Use this guide to determine if the energy rating (potencia contratada) of your electricity contract is adequate to support the range of electrical appliances in your home.

Using the matrix below check which appliances you have and read along the row to determine the minimum energy rating in Kilowatts (kW's). The column 'Existing Contracts' refers to old Sevillana Endesa contracts, the next column refers to new Endesa contracts. The small difference in energy ratings between old and new contracts is due to changes in how the energy rating is calculated. The column on the far right shows the rating of the 'ICP' (current limiter fitted and sealed by the electricity supply company), in Amps.

The energy ratings above are minimum recommendations and apply to both single-phase and 3-phase contracts. Selecting the minimum energy rating may not facilitate simultaneous running of all appliances listed. To guarantee adequate power consider which appliances will be running at the same time and plan to upgrade to the next level if necessary. The rating of the ICP for 3-phase customers will be smaller than that shown above. Energy contracts for 3-phase consumers are based on a nominal supply of 380/400 Volts, and so the ICP range is as follows:
